A Few of My Favorite Things…

Our TWO Sense: A few of my favorite things.

In general this blog is an opportunity for us to write about the marketing world and reflect on the work that we do, but being that it is the last day of my summer internship with The Weinstein Organization, I wanted to take a step back and analyze the bones behind this company that create a platform enabling us to excel at the work that we do. Sometimes work can get hectic, and these building blocks can be overlooked, but they’re some of the most important aspects of this company… and a few of my favorite things.

First and foremost, I’ve learned the truth behind the saying, “It’s not always about what you’re doing, but about the people you’re doing it with.” Coming to work every morning was a change of pace for me, so I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work in an environment where I’m surrounded by such positive people. Everyone here is individually motivated in their work, and they truly put forth all of their energy and passion into whatever they are working on. They view their work as an extension and reflection of themselves. I’ve watched project after project be completed with such confidence. It’s so refreshing to see people truly believe in the work that they do. It has only motivated me to do the same and be the best worker I can be.

With that being said, there is another aspect to the people in this office and the atmosphere they create—it is like a family. This is not a stale office where people only worry about what concerns them, or only talk to the person next to them if they need something. Everyone here is constantly interacting and providing such a strong support system. In plain words, everyone here is friends. We care about each other, motivate each other in our work, communicate about our lives, and provide a few laughs here and there. This company would not be the same without each and every member it’s composed of.

Although this company may be smaller in size, we are very large in capability. Everyone always jokes here, “I work in a different company than you.” This is because the work that we do with each or our accounts is diverse. There is no cookie cutter approach to a client. We don’t treat our projects with a “one size fits all” method. All of the work here is customized to fit the client’s unique style and needs. This is one of my favorite things because it keeps everyone on their toes, thinking out-of-the-box, and excited about the work that they do. This momentum brings so much energy to the office and gives life to the work that we do.

I believe that any member of The Weinstein Organization that reads this would concur with these statements and express similar things they appreciate too. It is these small, simple things that really help mold this company and enhance our work. Although it is important to be proud of the work that we do, there are many other things about this company to be proud of…
