It seems like online and social marketing are all the craze.  But online marketing efforts can only go so far.  Direct mail has been the ol’ stand by for a reason.  Here are 5 benefits of having direct mail in your next marketing campaign.

1. It’s tangible and reliable. Marketing your offer in direct mail gives your message authority and credibility.  It also puts your message in the hands of the consumer both encouraging interaction and engagement.
2. It’s easily measurable.  It’s the easiest way to track the effectiveness of your offer.  All that’s needed is to count the number of responses you receive either from a physical coupon, Business Reply Card, or other response device.
3. It’s targeted.  You can select a highly targeted list based on the specific demographics, area and purchase history.  If you are sending your message to the right list, you will get the results you are looking for.
4. It’s personal. Direct mail allows you to take your time to tell your story and be much more personal.  When the consumer receives a personal message, they are more likely to heed to your response.
5. It supports online marketing efforts.  By reaching your target audience through multiple forms of communication, you build brand awareness and more interaction.  Direct Mail is a great medium for QR Codes and pURLs.  Many consumers will read about an offer in their direct mail package and finish their purchase online.
