10 Innovative Email Tactics –Re-engagement Program and Seasonally Relevant Creative

Our TWO Sense: 10 Innovate Email Tactics–Re-engagement Program and Seasonally Relevant Creative

Well, all good things must come to an end. It’s my last entry to the 10 Innovative Email Tactics blog series! Sad, I know. Here is last week’s post if you want a refresher, and from there you can go back to all 5 posts. Today, I will be going over Re-engagement Program and Seasonally Relevant Creative. Both of these email tactics are great for stagnant customers and those who only make their purchases during the holidays.

A re-engagement program is perfect for subscribers who have not engaged with your emails in a long period time. The program consists of a series of emails aimed at re-activating subscribers who have not engaged with you. Usually the first re-engagement email is delivered after three to six months of the subscriber not opening. It is then followed up with more emails after the set months of inactivity.

Here are some re-engagement tips:

  • Do not treat your inactive and active email subscribers the same way.
  • Try to figure out why subscribers are not engaging.
  • Remove subscribers from your list after a very long time of inactivity.

Seasonally relevant creative sounds easy enough, but many of you are not doing it! It is really easy to customize certain elements of your email for holidays or for different times of the year. Right now we are seeing tons of Valentine’s prompted emails come through our inboxes. Not every holiday is best for your emails though. Find the ones that are right for you and create an email around that holiday. Your subscribers will really relate to these emails and will be more prompted to engage and see what you have to offer during the holiday.

Here are some tips for seasonally relevant creative:

  • Add useful info like store hours during the holiday or shipping details.
  • Don’t customize for each holiday, but for the ones that work best for you.
  • Add seasonally relevant products in the emails, so the subscriber knows what you have to offer.

Well that’s it! The last of the 10 Innovative Email Tactics. If you have any questions or want any more tips email me! kzenere@twochicago.com
