Snapchat has been out for over four years and many companies are trying to figure out how to use the social media app for their marketing needs. Snapchat has over 26 million users in the United States and 77% of college students use Snapchat daily! It’s true, Snapchat is mainly used by college students and young adults under 35, aka Millennials, which is a huge market you could be targeting. Below are 4 Snapchat marketing tips.

1. Live events. Snapchat is a great way to give customers an inside look at your next launch party, trade show, or grand opening?  Millennials become invested in brands and they want to feel like they are part of something big. Being able to see what’s happening at a red carpet event or launch party will make them feel like they are participating with what’s going on.

2. Show a new product. If you want your new product to come across as exclusive and cool then announce it on Snapchat. You can start showing 10 second videos and clips of the new product, which will create buzz among your demographic. Also, since it was announced first on Snapchat, the younger generation will feel more attracted to the product and feel like they have more knowledge about it before anyone else.

3. Go behind the scenes. Give your customers a behind the scenes look to how a new product is developed, or give them a tour of your facility. You can also show them what’s in the works. Doing this gives Millennials the investment they are looking for.
